The SBTS Youth Ministry Program offers a Master of Arts in Youth Ministry that can be completed in two-years or Master of Divinity in Youth Ministry designed to be completed in three-years. The academic program for training tomorrow’s youth leaders today is presented in partnership with the School of Leadership and Church Ministry and the International Center for Youth Ministry (CYM).
The youth ministry training program is designed to be academically based, biblically integrated, culturally relevant, and cutting edge. These qualities force us to continually evaluate our program for its effectiveness. Through research, professional accountability from seasoned youth ministry veterans, and interaction with colleagues, we are able to maintain the highest level of excellence in the youth ministry training programs at Southern Seminary.
The curriculum is designed to keep the integrity of the educational objectives of the CYM. The youth ministry core curriculum consists of 23 hours of youth ministry specific courses in the M. A. and 26 hours of youth ministry specific courses in the M. Div.
